Just as you turn into the park there is someone that sells packages for firewood for 20 so having a nice campfire even in the winter.

With relatively mild winter temperatures driven by its maritime climate Washington state is graced with some of the best winter camping spots. Winter camping in a snow storm isnt always the best idea. Autumn in particular is a spectacular time to visit Lake Tahoe.

Ed ZBerg Sugar Pine Point State Park is your best bet for winter camping. Winter camping in south day-use parking with no hook-ups. Camping is first-come first-served starting around Oct. Winter camping in a snow storm isnt always the best idea. You need either chains or 4-wheel drive to enter Lake Tahoe in winter.

And yes there are checkpoints and no they wont let you in without either chains on your tires or a 4-wheel drive car. Located in south Lake Tahoe it has easy access to the lake as well as all the winter activitiestheres even a little sledding hill on-site.
